WSCC DR - Westhampnett Landfill Gas Works

The requirements are set out in the Specification and broadly cover the following objectives;

oThe Council has prepared an outline specification which details the requirements for the project. The project will therefore be a design and build contract, allowing the Contractor to have the flexibility of designing the finer elements of the Works.

oThe Works consists of a ring main design of 27no. gas wells, connected with pipework to a 500m3 gas flare.

oThe system will be supported by 5 knockout pots, with a compressed air system. The compressor will be housed in the flare compound in weather proof housing.

The Council has scheduled a Bidders' Briefing session as detailed below. All Bidders are must attend. Absence will be considered a fail on Question 48 of the Qualification Questionnaire. Any slides or hand outs will be uploaded to the e-Sourcing portal once the session is complete.

Please note that the event will start promptly at 11am. Bidders are asked to report to the site where they will be met by a member of the team.

The site entrance is on the left-hand side of Coach Road, opposite the Household Waste Recycling Site public entrance.

Parking is available. PPE is not required, but suitable footwear will be required.

Content: The site visit will provide Contractors with an overview of the scheme to enable an informed tender bid to be prepared. WSCC Officers and its appointed Engineers will be on site to explain the scheme and answer any questions.

RSVP: In addition to answering Question 48 on the Qualification Questionnaire, please message on the Portal by 23/01/2017 and confirm who is attending and any particular content you wish us to cover. A maximum of two representatives per bidder are permitted.
