description

Health Education England (HEE - the Commissioner) will be commencing a Request For Information (RFI) from the market for Early Years Dental Training Curriculum Production.

This Request for Information (RFI) is to gain feedback on how an organisation could support Health Education England in producing an Early Years Dental Training Curriculum and how to ensure value for money is achieved with no impact to quality.

One of the objectives of the Advancing Dental Care (ADC) Review is to develop a two-year Early Years Dental Training Programme to broaden trainees' experiences and to support career progression. Most new dental graduates currently undertake the standard 12-month Dental Foundation Training (DFT) programme. The new Early Years Programme will bring together elements of that programme, combined with a more broad-based training experience over two years across a number of other dentally based disciplines. This includes training in secondary care settings and primary Dental Care Services.

The new model of undertaking Early Years training over two years will mean that more trainees will receive a more varied experience than in the current standalone model and develop relevant transferable skills for their future career. The additional experience gained by dentists at the beginning of their careers should enable them to be increasingly confident in the level of care they are able to offer patients.

Please ensure the completed RFI questionnaire is sent back via the Atamis e-tendering messaging portal only by deadline of 17th November 2022 at 12:00pm (midday).

To access the portal and download the document (Project C111113) please see link: https://health-family-contract-search.secure.force.com/?SearchType=Projects

HEE will use the opportunity to gather intelligence which may influence and inform the development of the final tender.
