Refurbishment of Mechanical and Electrical Systems Contract 2

• CWS Works - The work covered for the replacement of the cold water tanks include the design, supply, delivery, installation, commissioning, testing and setting to work all plant, pipework and equipment necessary for the execution of the contract, including all temporary connections to existing water supplies in order to maintain water supplies to all the dwellings.

• Electrical Works - A brief summary of the works is detailed below. The Tenderer shall refer to the whole of the Tender documentation and relevant drawings for a more detailed description. The works vary across the sites but in general involve some or all of the following:

• Enabling works in-order to establish the existing electrical services, including suitability for reconditioning and reuse
• Enabling works in-order to establish safe access and maintenance requirements for new installation and future maintenance
• Recording of existing lux levels for general and emergency lighting for reference following the works
• Enabling works in-order to establish access and installation routes with an intent on also providing information as to any asbestos surveys required
• Strip-out of existing electrical services, including but not limited to:
• Electrical distribution systems
• Landlords electrical equipment and consumer units
• General and emergency communal and landlord lighting systems (internal and external)
• Road and pavement lighting systems
• Testing and commissioning of cabling and equipment that is to be re-used/reconnected following the works
• Installation of new electrical services systems to replace those stripped out
• All design work, including calculations and drawings using provided drawings and information as indicative only
• All testing and commissioning prior to and following works
• Provision of all post-construction documentation, including but not limited to: as-built drawings, schematics, operation and maintenance documentation, etc.

The successful supplier must be able to comply with all requirements as set out in parts A – E and all appendices of the tender documentation.
