Thanet District Council is seeking contractors to undertake the planned preventative annual maintenance of a number of hydraulically operated items of equipment: 2 x Single deck Linkspans, 1 x Double deck Linkspan with computerised control system, 1 x berthing spine, 1 x Inner harbour tidal flap gate, 1 x Inner harbour tidal mitre gate, 1 x Lifting Bridge and 1 x 40 ton Wise boat hoist. The contract is for the provision of inspection, routine maintenance and repairs to the equipment as listed above. The contractor is expected to keep detailed records and to be able to demonstrate that their organisation has experience in this type of equipment and trained operatives capable of competently maintaining this equipment. The contractor must also provide a one hour emergency callout service. The Planned maintenance includes all aspects of the equipment such as bearings hydraulics, electrical systems, control systems, structure, alarm systems and the training of port operatives in monitoring and operational tasks. A Planned Preventative maintenance contract for 36 months with a single option to extend for a 24 month period. The form of contract will be the NEC term maintenance contract. The procurement process will be undertaken on the basis of an Open Tender. All tenders will be accepted subject to the tenderer providing suitable responses to grounds for Mandatory and Discretionary Rejection and minimum standards are met as set out in the Invitation To Tender document. Evaluation will be on the basis of criteria as set out in the ITT document.
