GB-Peterborough: Replacement of existing school boilers

The following project is to be sent out to tender on 29/04/2016 with a tender return date 20/05/2016. Form of contract will be JTC standard building contract without quantities.

Works compromise the supply and installation of replacement gas boilers to a school boiler house, including all connection works to a new incoming gas supply-the completion of which will determine the start date of the boiler replacement contract. The existing oil fired boilers and oil tank will need to be removed. Due to previous asbestos contamination- since removed and certified- it will be necessary to employ a licensed contractor to undertake their controlled removal. These works to be carried out by nominated sub-contractors. Full works package to be priced.

The site is a primary school located within a busy residential area. Works are to take place during the summer holiday period whilst the school is closed.

Confirmation of the install date for the new gas supply will determine the start date of this contract.

Additional information: The contracting authority considers that this contract may be suitable for economic operators that are small or medium enterprises (SMEs). However, any selection of tenderers will be based solely on the criteria set out for the procurement.
