Tier 3 Weight Management Services for West Essex

West Essex Clinical Commissioning Group wishes to establish a single Provider contract for the provisions of Tier 3 Weight Management Services.

Tier 3 weight management services provides the link between Tier 1 and 2 environmental and population-wide services and lifestyle interventions and Tier 4 Specialist Bariatric Surgical Services. Access to Tier 4 is dependent on completion of the Tier 3 service programme.

This service seeks to provide a safe and effective high-quality weight management service which supports patients to achieve clinically significant weight loss through safe and sustainable means. The service will be delivered in a multi-disciplinary approach to addressing behavioural, psychological and clinical challenges faced by obese individuals.

The contract duration is 60 months.

The Services to which this Procurement relates fall within Schedule 3 of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 (the "Regulations"). As such, the procurement of the Services is being run as a bespoke, single stage application process akin to the Open procedure, involving a number of stages which are outlined within the suite of procurement documents. The Contracting Authority does not intend to hold itself bound by any of the Regulations, save those applicable to Schedule 3 Services.

Additional information:

The CCG has placed a maximum price of £811,950 across the full life of the contract. This maximum value is for completers through the service in excess of the minimum required 80. Bidders will be paid on a block arrangement for the first 80 completers and on a unit price per completer thereafter as set out in the financial model template up to the maximum price of £811,950.
