East Riding of Yorkshire Council is inviting tenders from suitably qualified and experienced individuals or organisations to provide kennelling facilities to accommodate dogs, including those dogs detained as part of the statutory duty placed on the Council under Section 149 of the Environmental Protection Act 1990 and dogs housed under the Care Act 2014. The Council's dog warden service handles between 500 - 600 dogs annually and these dogs have to be detained in accordance with the statutory provision. This contract once let will be for the provision of 12 kennel units in the first year and a varying number in each of the two following years and will be for a period of three years commencing 1 June 2016. Additional dogs kennels may be required above the number set for any year and will be paid for per day at the agreed rate. East Riding of Yorkshire Council does not bind itself to accept the lowest or any tender offered. Individuals or organisations interested in providing these kennelling facilities will need to request a tender pack by writing to Environmental Control Manager, DF30, Housing & Public Protection County Hall Beverley East Riding of Yorkshire HU17 9BA or by emailing pest.dog@eastriding.gov.uk Completed tenders must be returned by 12 noon on Monday 9th May 2016
