description
The Council requires the services of an organisation/business which can provide relevant expertise in Food and Drink cluster development. The organisation should be appropriately resourced and should have a track record in designing successful self-sustaining clusters combined with a good knowledge the food and drink sector, relevant stakeholders and practitioners to inform the findings/report.
The Council is seeking the following specific services as part of the agreement:
•Brief analysis of cluster development specialist literature suggesting proven methodologies which could be explored;
•Segmentation of businesses to engage including groupings of businesses across other sectors which work exclusively or largely in the food sector (e.g. logistics/ wholesalers) - suggesting categorisation and identification approaches; •Design of a bespoke Food and Drink cluster for both large businesses and SMEs alike;
•Identify key businesses within Norfolk and Suffolk that have the potential to be cluster anchors;
•List prestigious businesses/ individuals that must be engaged as a draw to involve other relevant businesses;
•List at least 5 key investors in food businesses in the region which should be engaged in the project;
Additional information: The contracting authority considers that this contract may be suitable for economic operators that are small or medium enterprises (SMEs). However, any selection of tenderers will be based solely on the criteria set out for the procurement.
