The Council requires a supplier for festive and Christmas lighting features for various high street areas in Birmingham.
This project is funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF). Birmingham has been granted funding under the ERDF Welcome Back Fund to support the safe reopening of high streets and other commercial areas.
This contract is available for use for projects funded externally from the Council including Reopening High Streets Safely Fund and Welcome Back Fund which is funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) as part of the European Structural and Investment Funds (ESIF) Growth.
Festive and Christmas lighting schemes will drive footfall to High Streets and shopping areas across Birmingham during the months of November and December 2021 which are key trading periods for retail and hospitality businesses.
The successful provider will supply the following festive and Christmas lighting features for street lighting columns:
Design
- oTo be modern, festive and vibrant
- oYou must provide actual image of each design as part of your proposal
- oEach design will be of 'open concept' allowing wind to blow through
- oA minimum of 4 different festive designs are required
Frames
- oEach frame size should be 2300mm high and 750mm wide
- oThe frames should be constructed from 20mm aluminium box section
- oAll corners are to have some form of bracing or reinforcement - please specify
- oAll frames must be supplied with at least 2 brackets to allow fixing to a lamp column Electrical
- oAll features are to be 230v
- oAll enclosures are to be a minimum of IP 54
- oAll rope lighting should be 230v - 13mm LED with at least 30 LED's liner per metre
- oAll string lighting used should be 230v with spacing of at least 100mm or less
- oEach feature must be fitted with a minimum of 1000mm length of 1.5mm black cable, fitted with a 16Amp plug suitable for outdoor use
Quantity
- oA minimum quantity of 160 features/frames are required
Availability
- oOnly quote for design features/frames that are readily available to be delivered
Timescales
Delivery of all lighting features to a specified address in Birmingham no later than 1600h on Monday 22nd November 2021.
