description
The Library is embarking on an ambitious business transformation over the next 5 years. This transformation will be underpinned by the introduction of new products and services. As a consequence IT are now looking to understand what components of its current architecture are fit for purpose, what parts require some upgrading, what parts are no longer required and what parts are missing within the architecture that need to be sourced. This RFI is in response to the latter where the Library would like to provide a consistent and coherent set of APIs to its products, services, content etc.
This RFI is intended to help the Library clarify the scope of what will be asked for within the ITT which is expected to be published Q2 17/18 for the procurement of an API Management platform. Current work within the architecture team has identified a number of business capabilities that have emerged as a result of discussions within various communities within the Library.
