description

The Trust's Kingsway Site comprises of five individual mental health units together with corporate and Estates buildings. The Kedleston Low Secure Unit provides a gender specific low secure service for males who demonstrate disturbed behaviour in the context of a serious mental disorder and who require the provision of security. The boiler replacement will be carried out within an externally accessed plant room of the Kedleston Unit, but contractors should be aware that the Kingsway Site grounds are continually available for our patients to use.

The works comprise: replacement of 3no 60kW Hoval boilers with 2no Broag Quinta 90s, 2no central heating pumps are to be replaced with Grundfos Magna pumps, the existing Hoval Automatic fill unit is to be replaced by a Mikrofil Unit and the existing BMS control panel is to be modified by Schneider as a subcontractor to the main contract.

Design of the works will be carried out by Derbyshire County Council Mechanical Services Design team who will oversee the installation.
