description
Background:
The FCA has built an AWS-based cloud platform to host its business services applications. New project workloads are being continuously deployed on this platform, as well as the existing application portfolio being migrated throughout FY 18/19 and 19/20 from its legacy environments.
The cloud platform has to date been built, provisioned and managed by a central group within the FCA's Infrastructure and Operations division under a traditional project delivery / infrastructure support framework. The organisational will be transitioning towards a Product and DevOps model.
As the volume and criticality of application workloads on the platform increase the support capability will move from a UK Business Hours support model to a 24/7 model.
Indicative Requirements:
To this effect, the FCA is seeking a third party to augment the current cloud infrastructure support capability to achieve 24/7 coverage.
The scope of the required augmentation is subject to the capabilities available in the market and evolution of the FCA's own long-term support strategy. It will include Level 2 and Level 3 infrastructure support, across event, incident and problem management, Security Operations monitoring and support, and in subsequent phases, change management and additional service delivery and service management capabilities.
The FCA is seeking to engage with organisations with the capability to deliver such requirements for an enterprise grade AWS-based cloud platform.
