description

Surrey County Council owns two data centres, the primary one in Redhill and our disaster recovery site in Guildford. Within these facilities are a number of servers, networking and storage devices. A large proportion of the virtualised infrastructure is 'aging' and requires refresh to maintain compliance and supportability.

As a result of our continuous drive to improve our Infrastructure estate Surrey County Council has decided to adopt a Hyper-converged Infrastructure technology stack and therefore is looking to replace the traditional Storage, Compute and networking layers.

This will allow for Surrey County Council to adopt a more cohesive technology stack which is simple to manage and maintain to allow staff the ability to provide better services as opposed to keeping the lights on.

The specific system the council requires is Nutanix.

Quotations are being requested via Health Trust Europe - HTE ICT Solutions 2015 Framework.
