The Christie NHS Foundation Trust is calling for expressions of interest to this Prior Information Notice from suitably qualified vendors of corporate intranet content management systems (CMS). The Trust currently has an in-house developed solution and wishes to engage with the market to see what products could meet our requirements.

The vendor product is expected to bring several areas of functionality within their solution, including:

1.A responsive design with a CMS - Easy to use, managed and controlled by non-technical users. Ability to create different user roles/levels.
2.Staff directory - A people directory with collaborative tools. The directory should offer quick and easy ways of filtering and searching for the person required, with contact information such as employee's department name and number, manager (key department leads), phone number etc. Department look up for telephone numbers.
3.Document database - A DMS used to track, manage, store and archive documents. Administration to be easy to use and managed and controlled by non-technical users. Expiry system for documents. Version control.
4.Events diary/Calendar - Events calendar/diary allowing people to add an event and also a view a calendar of all events. To be displayed on the homepage.
5.Department 'micro sites' - Departmental areas of the intranet where teams can update and maintain their own sections. To include news feeds.
6.Personalisation - Different homepages for different staff based on their useage, Ability to push content to people based on their usage
7.Forum/sales - Separate sections for the sale of items and forum type conversations. Ability to find archived posts. Easy to add items with photos.
8.Integration – with various systems currently used
9.Content activations and expiry - Content has activation and expiry dates with content owners.
10.Message tool – Ability to send messages to certain individuals or groups of people. EG. General messages, recommended read of pages/documents. Read receipts.

The Trust intends to use the pre-procurement market engagement to inform the full requirements, obtain indicative pricing and determine the potential procurement strategy.

Individual informal discussions will be held with interested parties who express an interest during May 2016.

It should be noted that this engagement exercise in no way guarantees that a procurement exercise will be run at a later date. At this stage the purpose is to gather information and any organisations that participate do so at their own risk with no commitment from themselves or the Trust.
