Leisure Vending Services

Wirral Council's Leisure Services are responsible for the management of 6 leisure centres across the Borough and 2 municipal golf courses providing a range of sports and leisure facilities to the residents and visitors to the Borough.

To maintain attractive leisure facilities for Wirral residents, Leisure service members and the wider community, the council are looking to contract with a suitably experienced vending organisation to manage the contract of supplying and operating these vending services.

The initial contract would be to provide the proposed goods and services to Wirral Councils Leisure Services, (leisure centres and municipal golf courses) with the view if successful then further venues may be added to the proposal, such as Theatres, Colleges, Museums, and any other Wirral Asset thought to be a suitable location.

It is anticipated that the successful company will provide a fully managed vending operation to all identified facilities at zero charge to the Council, with the successful supplier committing to a % profit share of sales to be paid to the Council on a monthly basis.

It is expected that the vending machines, (as a minimum) will enable the sale of products including hot and cold drinks, snacks, and confectionary.

Potential suppliers must be able to aid Wirral Council in the following key outcomes

• Provision of a reliable suite of Vending Machines at zero cost to the Council
• Energy Efficient Machines (particularly in light of recent utility cost increases)
• Provide a variety of Vending Solutions
• Provide a varied mix of products that include Healthy & Fair-Trade Options
• Provide machines that allow for a variety of payment methods
• Aid the authority in their reduction of single use plastics.
• Aid income generation to the Council based on a specified % profit share of sales.
