description

The contract will cover the supply, and if/when required, the fitment of Mobile CCTV equipment in a variety of Police vehicles. The initial plan is to fit systems into approximately 80 vehicles with scope to fit into additional vehicles as and when the need arises over the course of the contract.

In the main the CCTV equipment will be fitted in-house at our own Vehicle Preparation centre. This will be at the sole discretion of the Force concerned.

The contractor should always provide the newest technology as it is released at a cost effective solution so future proofing the whole system.

The Authority is looking to purchase a system that can produce in court High Quality Footage for evidential purposes that is reliable and is simple and easy to use with a high level aftersales support. The solutions offered will be judged on these qualities.

The contractor will ensure that the design, specification and installation of all CCTV systems, together with all ancillary equipment, fixtures and fittings provided for that purpose are fit for purpose.
