description
Arden & Greater East Midlands CSU on behalf of Birmingham South Central CCG is seeking expressions of interest from suitably qualified providers for a the provision of GP services at the Hill medical practice which is based in Sparkhill, Birmingham. The intention is that services will be available to patients between the hours of 8am and 8pm Monday to Friday and 9am-1pm on Saturdays. The current contract at the Hill is due to expire on 31st March 2017.
Because of the nature of the provision, it is not likely to be possible to have the full contract in place by the date of expiry of the current contract. This is due to restrictions placed on Commissioners by governance arrangements. Commissioners therefore intend to run a procurement which is split into two lots, the first which will cover the entire provision and the second to cover a step in provider to cover the period between the end of the current contract and award of the full contract.
The step-in contract will be for a period of three months. The full contract will be for a period of 10 years (7 years plus 3 years) and will utilise the Alternative Provider Medical Services (APMS) Contract.
This notice is intended to inform providers of the intention of the CCG to hold a market engagement event. A further notice will be issued when the CCG is seeking to commence the procurement process.
Providers are invited to intend a Market Engagement event which will be held on Friday 2nd December between midday and 2pm at Bartholomew House, 142 Hagley Road, Birmingham B16 9PA. Providers are asked to register for a place at the event via Eventbrite by using the following link: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/market-engagement-event-for-gp-practice-procurement-the-hill-bsc-ccg-tickets-29614789633
