Creative Therapies for Children and Young People with Special Educational Needs and or Disabilities (SEND)

A Creative Therapies service for children and young people with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND). The service will deliver a range of creative therapies (art, music, drama) to pupils across three of Camden's maintained specialist schools (Swiss Cottage, Robson House and Camden Centre for Learning). The service will also be delivered in non specialist schools to pupils with an identified need. These will be delivered through a range of 1:1 interventions and group work in a way that is flexible to best meet the needs of the pupils. Many children and young people with SEND experience language and communication difficulties. Children at these settings can find it difficult to articulate or to articulate their emotions. Access to these creative therapies will allow children and young people to express themselves through different, non-verbal means. The delivery of this service will have expected outcomes of improving the educational and clinical outcomes, and quality of life, for children and young people with SEND in Camden
