Provision of Portable Appliance Testing (PAT) training for the Home Office

The Home Office are looking to contract with a training provider who can successfully deliver Portable Appliance Testing (PAT). The requirement is for four courses that cover theory and practical aspects: a formal qualification, on-line refresher plus equipment with compatible software training.

The four courses are as follows:

City & Guilds 2377-22 Portable Appliance Testing: A Basic Introduction & Practical Guide.

Portable Appliance Testing - A Practical Guide.

Apollo 500 Training Course.

PATGuard 3 Software Training Course

The service provider should adhere to the appropriate health and safety related legislation and best practice but not limited to including subject specific legislation The Electricity at Work Regulations 1989 and Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998.

Individuals are expected to receive the majority of the training at the supplier’s facility, however on an annual basis a training refresher should be provided at the St Albans, Herts and/or Horsham, Sussex CAST sites.
