DUD - The Provision of a Passenger Lift Audit and Consultancy Service

Dudley MBC invites tenders for a Passenger Lift Audit and Consultancy Service. The overall purpose of this contract is to:

Identify potential areas of risk to lift users, engineering staff and authorised visitors that come into contact with the lift system relative to the Management at Work Regulations, 1999, incorporating EN81-80 Standard and Safety Certificate Data (LG/SAFed) and Statutory Inspection (LOLER) Compliance.

To perform an independent audit on each lift in the portfolio and produce a report detailing its findings that can be used to help create a forthcoming contract for the servicing, reactive / programmed works, maintenance and installation of passenger lifts

To provide ad hoc lift consultancy services / modernisation acceptance audits / verification of contractor quotations for essential or recommended works, with alternative suggestions if appropriate / advising on any issues or disputes that may occur during the contract for servicing, reactive / programmed works, maintenance and installation of passenger lifts

Advise on what work would be required (per lift) to achieve compliance with the EN81-80 Standard.

Advise on the potential impact of forthcoming lift industry regulation changes in 2017 may have on our lift portfolio.
