description

The requirement is for a real-time q Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) system which will be used to detect presence (and relative quantity) of DNA of particular species within environmental DNA samples, using specific primer/probe combinations. Cefas typically use FAM as the fluorescent dye in the probe. Since the DNA is often present at low quantities, a high degree of sensitivity is required. Also important is the ability to run multiple samples simultaneously to increase sample throughput (hence the requirement for a 96-well machine).

Requirement:

A real-time qPCR machine to include:

-96-well capacity, in a 0.2 mL isothermal block
-ability to run reaction volumes of 10 - 100 μL
-compatibility with a range of fluorescent dyes, specifically including FAM and SYBR-Green dyes
-wi-fi connectivity
-design and analysis software, provided without need for further licence purchase, that supports analysis using a web browser or desktop computer

Delivery and Installation Requirements:

It is important to Cefas that delivery is made before or during WC 21st March 2022 to ensure payment by end of FY. If delivery cannot be accommodated in this timeframe, Cefas reserve the right to withdraw from the exercise or request additional documentation to be provided as evidence of ownership.

The equipment is required to be delivered/installed to Cefas Lowestoft NR33 0HT.

All pricing provided must be inclusive of delivery 'INCOTERM DDP' if item is being imported (please advise).
