description
Marketing Birmingham is the area’s strategic marketing partnership, which focuses on three business areas (i) investment, (ii) the visitor economy and (iii) strategic marketing. For more information please visit – www.marketingbirmingham.com
This project is partially funded by the England 2014 to 2020 European Structural and Investment Funds Growth Programme through its ERDF Investing in Greater Birmingham Project.
The ERDF funded Investing in Greater Birmingham project aims to attract foreign direct investment (FDI) and UK/EU expansions into the Greater Birmingham and Solihull Local Enterprise Partnership (GBSLEP) area. It will deliver a coordinated and integrated programme across the project area focused on attracting both high job creating growth industries and knowledge intensive investments, with a particular focus on SMEs and larger investors which tend to attract a supply chain of SMEs to an area.
In particular, in order to (i) ensure that Greater Birmingham is seen as a credible investment location, (ii) help the project to achieve its output target to attract 45 SMEs to Greater Birmingham and (iii) to inform the overseas lead generation support being commissioned separately to support the delivery of the project we need to make sure that our investor offer is still relevant and appropriately targeted.
