NHS England's Yorkshire and the Humber (Y&tH) Area Team in conjunction with NHS Rotherham Clinical Commissioning Group wish to commission an Alternative Provider of Medical Services (APMS) contract in the South Yorkshire and Bassetlaw areas. The aim of the services are to deliver essential, additional and enhanced services to registered patients.

The services will be commissioned for:

Chantry Bridge Medical Practice (Rotherham, South Yorkshire)

The service commencement date will be 1st November 2015. Further information regarding the financial value for the proposed contract can be found within the information contained in the tender documentation.

It is proposed that the contract will be awarded initially for a period of 5 years, with the Contracting Authority retaining an option to potentially extend for a further 12 months subject to satisfactory contract performance (equating to a maximum contract duration of 6 years). Under the Public Services (Social Value) Act 2012, the contracting authority must consider how what is proposed to be procured might improve the economic, social and environmental well-being of the relevant area and how, in conducting the process of procurement, it might act with a view to securing the improvement.

North of England Commissioning Support (NECS) is managing the process for and on behalf of NHS England Y&tH Area Team, and an electronic tendering portal (In-Tend) will be utilised to manage this process and to communicate with potential providers. Accordingly, there will be no hard copy documents issued to potential providers.
