description

Cambridgeshire County Council (CCC) is looking to procure collision database software to collate, edit, validate and analyse STATS19 data. CCC receive the data from the police on a weekly basis. Our current AccsMap contract ended on 31st March 2022 after a 5-year period. As a result, we are looking to procure a tool that meets all our essential requirements and as many of our desirable requirements whilst offering good value for money.

CCC are looking to procure a system that can consolidate the collision data into a single database for both Cambridgeshire and Peterborough. Peterborough currently outsources their collision data collation, validation and DfT return to Cambridgeshire so a system that both authorities can access would be beneficial, i.e. hosted in a cloud environment rather than on a single authority's local server. It is hoped that moving to a cloud-based environment will also provide speed benefits compared to accessing the data from CCC's local Citrix server as per the current setup. An externally hosted solution is the council's preference as this aligns with the council's IT strategy.
