Ambition for Ageing - Community Media

Community Media - The provider will research the potential of various forms of community media to communicate information to different groups of people over 50 living in Greater Manchester with a focus on older people who are socially isolated or at high risk of social isolation. The provider will carry out a study to identify communities who lack access to information and would benefit from more effective methods of communication.

Ambition for Ageing is a unique cross sector partnership of influential organisations, led by Greater Manchester Centre for Voluntary Organisation (GMCVO), with the aim of developing creative approaches to reducing social isolation for older people in Greater Manchester. The programme is part of the Big Lottery's national Ageing Better programme which is funding 14 programmes across England. Ambition for Ageing operates in eight areas of Greater Manchester - Bolton, Bury, Manchester, Oldham, Rochdale, Salford, Tameside, and Wigan.
