Background:

Some of the existing audio-visual equipment at Highfields Centre is now considerably outdated and no longer meets the needs of our users or the diverse range of activities we host. Much of the equipment has been in place for several years, resulting in frequent technical issues, limited functionality, and inefficiencies in energy use and performance. This has impacted our ability to deliver high-quality events, workshops, and services particularly those requiring modern digital integration, accessibility features, or reliable sound and visual output. Upgrading this infrastructure is essential to ensure we can continue to support our community effectively and sustainably.
