Unique Device Identification (UDI) by use of radio tags (RFID) for the Track and Traceability of Surgical Instrumentation. We are keen to hear from suppliers who may be able to offer some or all Unique Device Identification (UDI) by use of radio tags (RFID) functions or support functions for the implementation or benefits realisation of Track and Traceability of Surgical Instrumentation.

The supplier should detail the specific sizes of surgical instrumentation which can be tagged.

A requirement to fully integrate with Thermal Automated Washer Disinfectors, Automated Flexible Endoscope Washers, Porous Load Steam Sterilizers and Low Temperature Sterilizers and Trust Procurement Oracle Ordering System.

The supplier should have a formal Quality Management System eg ISO 9001.

We are keen to hear from suppliers who believe they have solutions that can meet the requirements within this advert. Interested suppliers, or groups of suppliers, are requested to submit an initial PowerPoint style presentation via the ProContract e-tendering portal (max. 12 slides), covering the following as a minimum:

oBrief company introduction/overview
oOverview of the solution on offer
oKey features and unique selling points of the solution
oImplementation and maintenance resources: typical delivery resources required
oIndicative charges of the proposed solution
oContact Information for liaison and enquiries
oCase study / reference site (at least one), preferably with the UK health service

Suppliers must submit their responses via the ProContract e-tendering portal by 9am on Monday 5th August. Any responses received after this date shall not be used.

Suppliers who submit a response may be invited to a presentation to a group of Trust stakeholders, likely to take place week commencing 2nd September 2019. Any suppliers who are invited to present should be informed during week commencing 19th August 2019

Suppliers can be assured that whether or not they participate in this stage (Invitation to present/hold face-face discussions) will have no influence on any subsequent formal procurement. The sample of suppliers selected will aim to improve the Trust's understanding of the pros and cons of different overall approaches.
