The Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) intends to publish a tender opportunity for the Sierra Leone Secondary Education Improvement Project Phase 2 (SSEIP II) in September 2022. The Opportunity Notice and Contract Notice will be published on the Contracts Finder and Find a Tender Service (FTS) websites respectively to alert the market and provide the instruction on how to access the tender documents via the FCDO Procurement portal.

SSEIP II is the successor programme to SSEIP I which contributed to a 46% increase in the number of girls and disabled children in secondary school, and a doubling in examination passes for girls in Sierra Leone. SSEIP II has been designed to deliver the UK's commitment to girls' education and aims to strengthen government systems in Sierra Leone to deliver improved education for adolescent girls and children with disabilities.

A market engagement event was previously held on 10 June 2021.

The aim of this engagement to is to raise awareness of this upcoming opportunity, gather feedback on the ToR and to solicit interest.
