Worcestershire County Council is seeking to commission an independent advocacy service for parents or carers in need of additional support where there is no appropriate individual to support and represent the parent or carer.
The service will be provided for parents or carers, residing in Worcestershire, who have;
- oa child under the age of 18 years who is assessed as a Child in Need within the meaning of the Children Act 1989, including a child in need of protection or a looked after child.
For parents or carers who have;
- osubstantial difficulty or severe impairment in the ability to communicate views, wishes and feelings with others and have a difficulty in understanding, retaining, weighing and processing information
The Council wish to procure a single service provider. The contract will be for 3 years, for the period 1st January 2020 until 31st December 2022 with the option of a one year extension.
