A site visit is recommended especially in terms of access to the site.

On the award of the contract the successful Contractor will have been deemed to have undertaken any additional site investigations they consider necessary. No claims will be accepted for lack of information or inaccuracies in this respect.

Buckingham Town Council invites tenders for internal alterations to the Buckingham Community Centre, Cornwalls Meadow to include the removal of internal walls and full redecoration as detailed.

The winning tender must be willing to work with other contractors who will be installing solar panels at the same time.

Preferred Timescale

It is preferred that the works will commence late 2020

Schedule of Works:

A programme of works is required this will include site set-up and clear-up. This will include when work will be able start and how long the works will take.

Temporary Storage:

Temporary on site storage of plant and materials to be agreed on site with the Authorised Officer. All plant and materials kept on site must be secured and left on site at own risk.

Site Safety:

The applicant will be responsible for compliance with all health and safety regulations. Site security of storage, works and equipment must be demonstrated in tender. All areas of work must be kept fenced off at all times from public access to ensure public safety at all times.

Public access:

Safe vehicle and pedestrian access to Cornwalls Meadow Car park and the surrounding shopping areas must be available at all times; the applicant must demonstrate how safe access will be maintained.

Warranty:

Warranty details are required for all workmanship carried out.

Agreements:

Agreement for the works will be in the form of the JCT Minor Works agreement 2011.

Payment:

Payment will be made in accordance with the agreement and is subject to a rectification period of 6 months following practical completion. A 5% retainer will be held until the end of the rectification period.
