A number of services will be delivered through the contract including the provision of governance, facilitation, administration and enabling services for the two Fora.
The key outcomes are:
- People with learning disabilities and family carers are effectively involved and their voices heard from local and regional to national level in policy making and planning and oversight of services for people with learning disabilities and their families
- Government, and key statutory bodies/ delivery agencies are able to consult effectively with people with learning disabilities and their families on issues affecting them
- People with learning disabilities and family carers coordinate and share information on their involvement in related activities such as engagement with Health and Wellbeing Boards, NHS England, Healthwatch and the Care Quality Commission
- The governance and administrative arrangements of the Fora are compliant with best practice standards in the third sector around integrity, transparency and accountability
- The Fora become more organically sustainable bodies.
