description

Our registrants and our own workforce are more ethnically diverse than general population. The murder of George Floyd in the USA, the Black Lives Matter protests around the world and the disproportionate impact of Covid19 on the Black, Asian and minority ethnic population and in particular the health and social care workforce, have all had a significant impact on colleagues at the NMC and among the professionals on our register. These events have brought issues of discrimination and racism to the fore and have raised challenging questions that the Council (our Board) and senior team are committed to addressing.

NMC require assistance to ensure the Council and the senior team are able to fully understand the issues we need to address and take meaningful action that will make a difference for all colleagues working at the NMC.
