ITT Dental Practice - Berwick

NHS England's Cumbria, Northumberland, Tyne and Wear Area Team propose to commission a new dental services Contract (Personal Dental Service Agreement), to replace a previous service in Berwick upon Tweed

The overall aim is to provide a high quality, value for money, patient centred general dental service to the population of Berwick upon Tweed and surrounding area. The service will promote the importance of good oral health and provide general dental services for the relevant population. The service will use NHS England's oral health promotion methodology to achieve these aims. Services will be marketed to attract all sections of the population.

The previous practice supported in the region of 1138 NHS patients predominantly from the Berwick Ward including North, East, West with Ord & Shielfield.

The contracting authority will develop the service model to incorporate the Public Services (Social Value) Act 2012, specifically:

How what is proposed to be procured might improve the economic, social and environmental well-being of the relevant area. (Area is the geographic area for which the procurement is taking place)

How, in conducting the process of procurement, it might act with a view to securing the improvement.
