description
SHP are seeking a Retrofit Assessor, Coordinator and Designer for the SHDF W2 Social Housing Decarbonisation Fund.
Sutton Housing Partnership (SHP) is an arms length management organisation (Almo) responsible for the management of 7,500 properties on behalf of the London Borough of Sutton (LBS). Of these 7,500 properties approximately 6000 are classified as social housing.
Under current legislation SHP will be responsible for ensuring that all properties it manages achieve at least an EPC band C by 2030. LBS and SHP have an ambitious plan to achieve a higher rating of at least B on all its properties by this date. Works on improving the stock have been on-going over a number of years and most of the 'low hanging fruit' has been installed. To move the stock to better performance will require tackling the 'hard to treat' properties, moving off gas and providing renewable energy.
SHP has experience delivering a range of retrofit projects. SHP has delivered 13 Energiesprong whole house retrofits over the last 2 years, with another 10 in progress and an ambitious 40 unit block of flats containing both tenants and leaseholders also in progress. SHP is also delivering 75 property upgrades under the Social Housing Decarbonisation Fund wave 1 (SHDF 1), primarily external and cavity wall insulation, triple glazing and loft insulation.
SHP is currently developing a bid for Wave 2.1 of the Social Housing Decarbonisation Fund (SHDF 2). Learning from wave 1 of the programme, we are keen to commence resident engagement early, and move forward with assessment and retrofit coordination of these properties. Whilst the delivery of these projects is still subject to securing SHDF W2 funding, the assessment and retrofit coordination will be funded through core budget lines. The information collected in this process is critical to moving forward with this work.
