Medway Council ('the Council') is seeking to procure the services of an experienced and suitably qualified Contractor to undertake New build classroom extensions and alterations (2 storey and single storey), external carpark and MUGA works and new build external Nursey Building and covered play area at the St Mary's Island in Medway. The Council is targeting to have awarded the contract during W/C 15th July 2017 with a subsequent commencement date no later than 31st July 2017. The estimated value of the works is approximately within the range £1.2M - £1.5M The estimated Contract period will be for 52 weeks. SCOPE OF WORKS, PRICING & SPECIFICATION The scope of works for this project includes but not limited to: Phase 1 - The complete design and build of new 1 & 2 storey classroom extensions to the existing school and alterations to the existing car park. The works include all connections to local authority services and are to be completed during the fifth recital. Phase 2 - The completion of a new single storey studio room, first floor storey extension and the internal alterations/refurbishment. New external build timber framed and timber clad 2 class and nursery building with a covered fenced play area. The works include all services and connections to local authority services. PLEASE NOTE: Phase 2 works are currently aspirational and are subject to funding approval. CONTRACTUAL ARRANGEMENTS The form of contract used will be the JCT 2011 Design and Build Contract.
