GB-Basildon: Operation of Mobile Catering Concession Norsey Wood Nature Reserve

NOTE: This notice was updated on 21 May 2018 for the following reason: Please note this procurement exercise has been withdrawn and cancelled.Basildon Borough Council is offering the opportunity for established outdoor catering companies to apply for catering concessions, duration of the Agreement is for initially 1 year, however the Council is happy to discuss a longer period depending on the outlay by the chosen bidder. It must be noted however that this concession does not include the sale of any alcohol.

We are interested in hearing from high-quality caterers interested in offering food and beverages from a stipulated pitch in Norsey Wood Nature Reserve. We are not looking for a permanent catering facility at this stage, but this may change at a later date once we understand popularity and viability.

Additional information: The contracting authority considers that this contract may be suitable for economic operators that are small or medium enterprises (SMEs). However, any selection of tenderers will be based solely on the criteria set out for the procurement.Please note this is a concessions based contract, the Council are looking for income generation.
