description
The Post Office Horizon (IT) Inquiry is looking to procure the services of witness tracing. The witness tracing service will support the inquiry in finding past witnesses who might be key witnesses to the inquiry and have since left their previous employer, and who we do not hold any contact details for. The Inquiry is looking to trace around 500 witnesses.
The outputs/products required of the witness tracing will be as follows:
Witness tracing services for 500 individuals.
The information we require for individuals:
- home address
- the degree of certainty the individual identified is the correct person,
- If there are multiple plausible hits, then the details of each must be supplied along with the degree of certainty
The information identified must be transferred securely to the Inquiry.
Responses must be received back within 3 working days unless the Inquiry has marked it urgent, in which case it must be transferred securely within 2 days.
We envisage two types of tracing will be needed. Whilst the exact numbers of individuals in categories (A) and (B) is not known, we ask for organisations to quote a flat rate for each. The categories are set out below:
- A.Fuller Information provided by the Inquiry (name/date of birth/last known location)
Please quote a flat rate for each search for an individual for whom we have Fuller Information.
- B.Limited Information provided by the Inquiry (name/date of birth)
Please quote a flat rate for each search for an individual for whom we have Limited Information.
Potential suppliers should have previous experience of providing witness tracing services. Examples of this might include supporting court cases, public inquiry work or the police.
