Date of contract award to be amended to 27/01/2016.

Period of work start date to be amended to 08/02/2016.Provision of construction works for Thameside Primary Academy located in Grays, Essex. The Council requires an extension to built to the existing school including the provision to accommodate an increase from three form entry to four form entry. The new build is to include additional teaching spaces and associated facilities, additional class rooms, car parking and an upgrade in dining and catering facilities, to be brought into use for the September 2016 school term.

The form of contract shall be JCT STANDARD FORM (WITHOUT QUANTITIES) SBC/XQ 2011.

Additional information: The contracting authority considers that this contract may be suitable for economic operators that are small or medium enterprises (SMEs). However, any selection of tenderers will be based solely on the criteria set out for the procurement.

Under the Public Services (Social Value) Act 2012 the contracting authority must consider:

  • (a)How what is proposed to be procured might improve the economic, social and environmental well-being ofthe area where it exercises its functions, and

Accordingly, the subject matter of the contract has been scoped to take into account the priorities of thecontracting authority relating to economic, social and environmental well-being. These priorities were described inthe Invitation to Tender and reflected in environmental and social characteristics in the evaluation criteria for the award of the contract.
