Replacement of Windows and Doors - 119 Properties and their Communal Areas - Ashford, Charing, Pluckley, Kingsnorth, Appledore, Wittersham and Rolvenden in the Borough of Ashford, Kent

Ashford Borough Council is seeking a high quality contractor to carry out a window and door replacement scheme of 119 properties (mostly flats but some houses and bungalows) at assorted locations (urban and rural) within the borough. All windows and doors have been replaced before with UPVC double glazed units.

The works are programmed to be undertaken between January 2010 and March 2020, however, the start and end dates stated in this notice are provisional and maybe subject to review.

The successful Contractor must be FENSA or CERTASS registered and tenders from those that are not will be rejected without further consideration.

The fabricator/installer must be a licensed Kite marked manufacturer to BS7412 and BSENISO.9002:1987/BS5750:Part 2; 1987 and a full copy of this license must accompany the tender. Tenders not containing a copy of the license will be rejected without further consideration.

Statutory leasehold consultation will be undertaken and tender prices will be notified to leaseholders.

Planning permission is required for this work and an application for these works has been submitted to the relevant planning authority.
