The Healthy Child Programme (HCP) is a universal public health programme available to all children, young people and their families. The principle aims of the programme are to: reduce inequalities; ensure that every child gets the good start they need and to lay the foundations of a healthy life. The delivery of School Aged Nursing services is a key component of the 5-19 Healthy Child Programme and supports school age children achieve the best possible health outcomes
