description
Bedford Borough Council's current Contract for the management of its Leisure Facilities across the Borough is due to expire at the end of January 2024. The Council is now exploring various options before a decision is made about how the services will be managed in the future.
We would therefore like to engage with the Market by holding a Market Engagement session on the 17th May 2022 followed by individual breakout sessions with each organisation on either the 17th or 18th May 2022.
The purpose of the Market Engagement is to provide the Market with a brief overview of Bedford's leisure portfolio and to gain feedback from the market on the options being considered for re-procurement. We wish to engage with the Market to get a better understanding of any market risks, seek views and understand the level of interest. The market engagement will assist the Council in developing a procurement strategy that will be attractive to potential bidders whilst ensuring the Council achieves its objectives.
The market engagement sessions will be held virtually via Microsoft Teams.
To express your interest in attending this event, please send a message via the Councils e-procurement portal (see link below). This message should include contact details including email address' for each key member of staff that would like to attend.

You will then be contacted with further details on the Market Engagement session on the 17th May and details confirming your allocated timeslot for your individual breakout session with the Council.
