Arun District Council - Employers Agent / Contract Administrator

Arun District Council is proposing to procure the new housing by way of land and build contracts entered into simultaneously with the developer on each site, possibly at Golden Brick stage. It is seeking a fee proposal expressed as a Fixed Fee to provide the Employer’s Agent /Contract Administrator services.

The Council has agreed terms to acquire nine new houses subject to a section 106 planning agreement on a site in the Arun District of West Sussex.

The contract value is anticipated to be £ 1 - £1.1 million (Scheme 1).

There is also agreement in principle to contract on a nearby site for a further eighteen units (Scheme 2) at £2.3- £2.5 million although this scheme is not as well progressed due to a re-planning exercise being undertaken.

Although this cannot be guaranteed at this stage, the intention is to use the same Employers Agent for both schemes.

Both schemes have planning permission and are anticipated to start on site in 2016.
