Capillary electrophoresis system capable of meeting the following requirements:
| • | Laboratory scale, dimensions allow for placement on standard laboratory bench |
| • | Ability to perform automated separation of charged biomolecules on size via electrophoresis (i.e. CE-SDS) |
| • | Ability to perform automated separation of proteins based on their pI values (i.e. cIEF) |
| a. | Produce results in less than 2 hours |
| b. | Run a minimum of 10 samples per separation. |
| c. | Separation down to 5-10kDa. |
| d. | Produce quantitative & purity profiles |
| e. | UV & fluorescence detector (optional) |
| f. | Run native and reduced electrophoresis |
| • | A single device must be able to perform both pI/size separations |
| a. | Be able to switch between the two technologies |
| • | Export data |
| • | Provide preventative maintenance / servicing |
