The core requirements for management training include

Training of all existing managers across all levels. This includes team leaders, managers and senior managers.
Training of any new managers and any staff who have been promoted to management level or new staff with management responsibilities.
Compulsory content of training includes;

Leadership/Personal Leadership Style (understanding self and others)

Effective Management Skills (planning and organising, delegation, time management, effective meetings, managing conflict, managing difficult conversations, optimising performance, managing under performance)

Team Building for Effective Performance (building and maintaining effective teams, motivation, coaching)

Effective Resource Management (planning, organising, utilising monitoring and controlling resources)

Effective Communication (giving and receiving feedback)

Change Management (taking teams through change programmes)

  • Ability to access the following on a modular basis – employment law (awareness level); equality and diversity

Other relevant areas related to creating an inclusive organisational culture which empowers and enables managers to maximise their own performance and that of their teams in line with business objectives.
