The Provision of Fixtures, Fitting & Equipment Services

Formed in 2002, the Trust achieved Foundation Trust status on 1 March 2010. It is an NHS provider of specialist mental health and learning disability services based in the North West of England. In addition and as a result of the Government’s Transforming Community Services programme, it extended an existing partnership with NHS Knowsley to enable the separation of commissioner and provider arms. The community services are delivered by multi-disciplinary integrated Health and Social Care teams and the employment of provider staff were transferred to the Trust on 1 April 2011.

A new hospital is currently under construction at a site adjoining Atherleigh Way, Leigh, WN7 1YN, which is expected to be operational by September 2016 (phase 1) and January 2017 (phase 2).

To support the delivery of required Furniture, Fittings and Equipment into the new facility it is proposed that an independent specialist be appointed to manage the complete process for the Trust.

This role will cover a wide range of activities and duties, including scheduling, budget control and reporting, co-ordinating product showcases and selection, as well as trials and evaluations, ordering, expediting, and the management of deliveries, installation and commissioning. It is anticipated that invitations to tender will be issued w/c 6th July 2015, with the successful bidder being appointed in early September 2015.
