16/PROF/05 - Fire Alarm Testing, Service & Maintenance

The University is looking to appoint one Contractor to test, service and maintain all of the fire alarm systems and associated equipment within its Estate in accordance with this specification and the standards referred to in it.

This specification and the standards referred to therein require the Contractor to execute the works in a safe and workmanlike manner.

The estimated value for this tender is £1.4 million over 4 years (2 + 2 years)

This contract is not open to other purchasing bodies other than the University of Southampton.

This contract is NOT suitable for splitting into LOTS

The risk of dividing into lots would render execution of the contract excessively technically difficult and not cost effective, and undermine proper execution.

Expressions of Interest must be by way of completion and return of the Pre-Qualification Questionnaire via the University`s e-tendering system Intend by the date/time specified in IV.3.4.

Due to the nature of this service it was not deemed suitable to be split into lots.

In accordance with Regulation 50, paragraph (2) of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 and subject to Article 5 and Annex 5, Part D (13) of Directive 2014/24/EU of the European Parliament and of the Council, the University intend to publish the contract value at contract award stage, and reserved the right to do so. By submitting a tender response tenderers are consenting to publication of this information unless otherwise agreed in advance with the University.
