Provision of Nursery and Daycare Services

Instead of: The purpose of this prior information notice (PIN) is to forewarn interested service providers of this requirement and highlight that we plan to hold a supplier day for the purpose of pre market engagement and to enable DVLA to describe and develop our proposed requirements, along with the opportunity for service providers to have bespoke 1-2-1 sessions. The supplier day has been scheduled for Monday 27 April 2020 and will be held at the Richard Ley Development Centre, Upper Fforest Way, Swansea Vale, SA7 0AN. Interested service providers must express their interest via email to the named contact point in section I.1) above by Friday 27 March 2020 quoting reference PS/20/23 - Provision of a Nursery and Day Care Services. When confirming your interest in attending the supplier day, please also indicate if you would like to book a one-to-one session.

Read: In response to the Government's guidance in respect of COVID 19, DVLA have assessed the impact of these changes in relation to this procurement for provision of Nursery Services and as a consequence, we have decided to postpone the supplier day due to be held on the 27 April 2020. DVLA will continue to monitor the situation and further communications will follow. Apologies for any inconvenience caused and thank you for your interest, understanding and patience, during these challenging times.

DVLA requires expressions of interest for the provision of a nursery and play scheme service. The nursery facility has a maximum capacity for 121 children and holds a BREEME excellent status. Estimated income is 500 000 GBP per annum with potential for growth. The service provider will operate the contract on behalf of DVLA and will be accountable to DVLA for the operation of the service within the terms of the operational requirement. The contract will be let for 5 years with the option to extend for a further 1 year term.
