Department of Health Procurement Transformation Programme ("The Programme") Future Operating Model ("FOM") for NHS Procurement, Supply Chain and Logistics Services.
Further to the PIN published by the Department of Health ("DH") and the NHS Business Services Authority ("NHSBSA") in the Official Journal of the European Union 2015/S 213-389103 on the 30th October 2015, and following the success of the Market Engagement Event held by the DH on 27th November 2015.
The DH and the NHSBSA would like to advise all interested parties that a second Supplier Market Engagement Event will now take place on Thursday, 21st April 2016, at Skipton House, 80 London Road, London, SE1 6LH.
Additional information: The purpose of this second Market Engagement Event is to set out to the market in more detail the proposed model for the Procurement Services (Category Towers) and IT and Supporting Technology elements of the Future Operating Model, and to invite feedback in respect of the current thinking and proposed approach to these specific service areas.
Please note - that other service elements of the FOM, such as Transactional Services and Logistics including Warehouse Management and Transport Services, will be covered in future engagement events- the dates of which will be published in due course.
The Market Engagement Event (for Procurement Services (Category Towers) and IT and Supporting Technologies) will be the first event in a three month substantial market engagement process, with Programme representatives, based on the activities and indicative time lines outlined in Appendix A.
Please note that all organisations who register an expression of interest for this event will (if they have not already done so) be required to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement. Only organisations that have registered will be allowed entry to the Event. Organisations not attending the Market Engagement Event, but who still wish to participate in future sessions are advised to register their interest as per the instructions below:
Suppliers will be limited to two attendees per organisations. Please provide details of these representatives to nhs.procurement@nhs.net
by close of business Monday 18th April.
If your organisation has not yet completed and returned the Programme Non-Disclosure Agreement, please request a copy from the email address above and provide a completed response prior to attendance.
Please note that registration for the follow up one to one session(s) will be taken during the event by a member of the Programme Team. A digital copy of the entire presentation will be provided following the event.
