Reading Borough Council is inviting expressions of interest from experienced contractors to undertake its annual programme of highways surfacing during the period September to October 2015.
The scope of the contract comprises the application of micro asphalt, or equivalent proprietary surfacing material, to existing carriageways in urban areas, with ancillary works to the Council’s road network including all traffic management issues associated with the works.
The successful contractor will be required to undertake an identified programme of works designed to meet the deadlines set by the Council. A list of designated roads identified by the Council will form the bulk of the annual programme with two reserve schemes, the reserve schemes however cannot be guaranteed.
