Coroners Ambulance Service

Suffolk County Council (SCC) invite Tenders for the provision of an Ambulance Service for the removal of bodies where the death has been referred to the Coroner. All deaths in relation to which no Doctor is able to sign a certificate have to be referred to the Coroner. The Coroner, Coroner's Officer or a Police Officer will then instruct the Provider to collect the body and take it to the appropriate Hospital Mortuary.

SCC shall not be bound to place any order with the Provider and gives no assurance as to the number of occasions and time of day on which the services of the Provider will be required.

This contract is divided into 5 lots/areas and it is intended to appoint one or more Providers sufficient to provide an adequate service to the whole of Suffolk. Tenderers are invited to bid for all or any of the lots/areas below

Lot 1 - North Suffolk Lot 2 - South Suffolk Lot 3 - East Suffolk Lot 4 - West Suffolk Lot 5 - Newmarket Area
